由来・語源
「here/there（ここ/あそこ）」の対比で“どちらにも属さない＝要点と関係がない”という比喩。16〜17世紀頃から定着した表現。

文法・使い方の注意点（日本語）
英語では定型で「That’s neither here nor there」の形が多い。名詞節を受けて「〜は関係ない」のように述語として使う。
