由来・語源
ポーカー用語のcall（勝負に乗る）とbluff（ハッタリ）から。相手の虚勢や脅しに対し、実際にやれるのか試す比喩として一般化した。

相手が実は実行しないと見て強気に出るニュアンス。対立・交渉・駆け引きで用いる。やや挑発的で角が立つので、丁寧表現や場面に注意。

基本は「call + 人の + bluff」。someone’sは所有格（my/your/hisなど）に置換。時制変化可（called/calling）。語順は固定で*call bluff of someoneは不自然。
